He co-manages the India strategies and the BGF Asian Growth Leaders fund. He is a member of the India & South East Asia research pod. Before joining BlackRock in Nov 2021, Karthik was an Analyst & Portfolio Manager at Fidelity International for six years. He was responsible for a pan-regional equity research role in Asia, and was assistant PM of a 130/30 Asian fund. He was most recently lead PM of an Asia absolute return strategy. Karthik was a member of BlackRock’s Fundamental Equities Team based in London and Singapore between 2010-15. He covered several Middle Eastern, Frontier and Asian equity markets. Karthik was also an equity research analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch between 2006-10 as part of the EMEA financials team. Karthik earned a BSc in Government & Economics (First Class Honours) from the London School of Economics.

During his training, Prasoon was immersed in the research and analysis of company stocks, in particular, the auto and auto component sector. He also spent 2-months with the Global Emerging Markets team in the Frankfurt office as part of an internal rotation program. After a successful 18-month completion of the Program in 2011, Prasoon joined the India portfolio management team in Hong Kong and is currently responsible for researching mid-cap stocks in India, in addition to the auto related stock research. Prior to joining the firm, Prasoon worked in India in various fixed income capacities, and gained industry experience during his internships with Lehman Brothers (Tokyo) in 2008 and Goldman Sachs (India) in 2006. Prasoon has completed an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) and graduated with a Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech) in Computer Science & Engineering from MNNIT (Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology) Allahabad. He is also a CFA charterholder.

He started his career as a research analyst at Ord Minnett Securities in 1994. Andrews holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours in Accounting and Finance) from the University of New South Wales.
